Why does DiHotel need minimum hardware requirements?
- We have tested the DiHotel software on the devices specified here, and we confirm DiHotel will work with systems that meet the minimum requirements. Your PMS system is a critical application, so choosing the right equipment is crucial.

- DiHotel Standard and Enterprise Editions do not require a dedicated server. However, if you are planning to purchase and use DiBooking, the Internet Reservation system, then a dedicated server running Windows 2003/2008 Server is required. In addition, we also encourage customers to use one server if the system has more than three workstations. See below for specific requirements for DiHotel Premier Edition.

DiHotel Hospitality highly recommends business-class computers over custom-built or consumer-oriented PCs.
Operating System/Virus Detection
We do not support Windows 95/98/NT; Windows XP Home, XP Media Center Edition; Windows Vista Home Basic, Vista Home Premium; Windows 7 Starter, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 8 RT, or Windows 8 “non-Pro”. We also do not support Microsoft Security Essentials. All other Virus Scanning should ignore *.TPS files as well as the DiHotel directory.
Networking
DiHotel can run on a peer-to-peer or server-based network. There is no additional cost for operating DiHotel in a network environment.
Wireless and/or power-line networking do not meet minimum requirements.
Printers
- Recommended: HP LaserJet Pro 400-series (M401) or P3015-series for new purchases.
Printer should have at least 8 Mb of RAM. - Avoid ‘host-based’ printers and any home/small office use models - these require special software and are slow to print.
- Inkjet printers are often too slow and too expensive (ink cartridges) to support front desk operations.
Monitors
DiHotel requires your video mode to be set at 800X600 (SVGA) resolution or higher, however, 17 inch flat panels running at 1024×768 (XGA) resolution are highly recommended. More information (reservations, inhouse guests, etc.) can be displayed with larger monitors and higher resolutions.
